Take Advantage of Branding

The Verve name has had some exciting connections lately with Ricky Barnes, etc. Connect with your back office often to catch the news. Use the free publicity to spread the word in your neighborhoods about Verve! It is always exciting seeing celebrities wearing the Verve name and drinking the product. Even if the product is seen in a television show refrigerator - that's publicity. Use it and pick up the phones and call everyone about it. Energy drinks are abundant in our society. They are everywhere, including college campuses. And nothing can compare to Verve in the energy drink arena. We have the healthy energy drink. So, do a little plaster planning with flyers and mailers, and spread the word. Be the person they come to for Verve. Let your sphere of influence all know you have Verve and a business opportunity to share with it. Spread the word. Ride the publicity wave all the way to the bank!

Power Hour

This business is mostly done in the nooks and crannies of one's day. Some call it "conversational marketing." And that is great. In your everyday activities, you'll find a way to bring up your opportunity. The old F O R M ... family, occupation, recreation, message concept taught by Amway a kazillion years ago still works today in this "conversational marketing" concept. However, I have found that if you give one solid hour a day to your business with focused intensity, you will see much more success with your business building. Use that hour to follow-up with customers & prospects. Touch base with your downline team to do 3-ways calls. Book appointments for face-to-face appointments. Contact new people and add them to your Prospect 100 list. Just make that one hour count. No distractions. Close the door to your office space & make things happen. And...have fun!

STAYING CONNECTED

The beauty of network marketing, especially with a binary pay plan, is the upline support built right in to the plan. The "spillover" factor literally builds a leg for you if your enroller is actively building the business. And your upline support also (in a way) spills over)! Take for example Ruth Elliott's Wednesday Webinars. They are there for you to use. Upline combined teams of Michelle Barnes, Matt Morrow, David & Debbie Reeder are also there to utilize with weekly consistent Tuesday & Thursday biz building calls, webinars & team calls. Staying connected goes all the way up the ladder to the company with the monthly corporate UPDATE call. Between your www.myvemma.com/teamburgess (your name after /) website's back office, www.teamburgess.com & www.vsupportteam.com ... staying connected is easy. All it takes is for you to plug in. Use these tools to keep you motivated & productive with business building. And...have fun!!!

Consistency Always Win$

Hats off to those great team members who have consistently shared their Vemma business wherever they go. They consistently make daily calls to motivate & encourage their team. They consistently sample product to new, potential customers & distributors. They consistently share the success they've had with the product. They consistently make things happen. They consistently move product from their inventory. They consistently have an autoship with the company that not only locks in their position in the downline team, but always keeps them qualified for weekly bonuses. They consistently are positive about what they are doing. These members make me smile. They consistently make my day. They are positive & self-motivated. And they see success. I have a few team members like this who, when the economy has caused most people to suffer financial hardships, are consistently enrolling new people into the business. When most are making excuses, these team members are making money. Why? Consistency in purpose, focus & eye on the prize! Thank you guys!!!

Having Fun in the Process!

With this horrid economy we are having, "fun" doesn't seem to be in the equation. We are all stressed about money & scrambling to make ends meet. That doesn't always equal a "fun day," right? Business building with Vemma & Verve needs to have that fun element in it. We bound out of bed & say out loud ... "It's gorgeous today & I'm going to have fun sharing this amazing business & product with everyone I meet!" Keeping that smile on your face, happiness in your heart & bounce in your step, will see more success than you can imagine. The world right now is frowning. And for good reason. It's doom & gloom out there. There needs to be a light at the end of everyone's tunnel. So, give them some light. First - their days all need to start with Verve...right? Right. I ran out for a week & not only dragged around here, but was once again having sleepless nights & snip snapping at my cute hubby of 35 years. I tried substituting with the other drugstore energy drinks, but felt worse & wanted to take naps in the middle of the day. What was that? So...Verve arrived & yesterday I was back with the best & had a fabulous nights sleep & am up ready to take on the world. So, instead of panicking about this mess the government has made of our economy, drink your Verve & start talking to people!!!

Nooks & Crannies

Networking Pro's talk about one of the many benefits to working Network Marketing is that you can work it into the nooks & crannies of your day. They refer to "conversational marketing," as well. This goes along with the theory that in your everyday activities, you bump into people & find a way to talk about your Vemma & Verve products. You ask questions, then ask more questions so that you know when to slide in the product or business. It often works, but let me take that a step further. You need to earmark a specific time that you "intentionally" DO the business, otherwise your "nooks & crannies" concept won't work. You need to get specific - just like punching a time clock. If you are working full time, then maybe you take your lunch break - hopefully an hour - & get out there, walk the pavement, meet new people & get their business cards. Then when you are home from your job-job, follow-up with those people. It's not always easy to work 8 hours then come home & schedule in time to do the follow-up, but you need to do that. Again, be specific with your time frame. You have to analyze your individual schedules & if you have 7 to 8 open for follow-up calls, then that's when you do those calls. Just be specific & consistent. Set your business building goals to specific goals. I suggest enrolling 3 new members a week by Thursday night. These 3 could fall into "wholesale users" & "business builders." And don't catch yourself pre-judging which is which. They will surprise you. Just get them enrolled (FREE) & see who they can lead you to - then follow-up with them. It takes effort, but the rewards are excellent. Look at your existing team. If you have no consistent auto-ships - then get some. If you have no business builders, then get some. Get out there & make things happen!

It's Do-Over Day!

I've got a great team. I love every person I've personally enrolled & love those they have enrolled. I have a grateful heart. They rock! I love calling those positive people & hearing about their newly enrolled team members. Their positive energy pumps up my day. It puts a smile on my face. And I understand when people fall out & cancel their autoships. It happens. In the past these occasional cancellations got me down & negative. Instead of calling them & encouraging them to hang in there, keeping their spot locked in for those downline, spillover bonuses, I have shrugged it off. But... no more. I adore the Vemma & Verve product. Without it, my ankles swell, find myself not sleeping, lacking that clean energy, etc. So, I'm starting today to have a Do-Over Day! I'm touching base with my peeps, updating them on the latest events (see back office updates), letting them know I care, & then doing what all of us needs to do...enrolling new team members. It's been a few months since I've done that. Famous MLM phrase...the pace of the team is the pace of the pack! So...let's "pace it up!" Not sure if that's a phrase, but you get the drift. Set the pace. Be the example of positive action ... positive energy ... positive business building daily activity. Do to duplicate! It's Do-Over Day!

The Importance of a Solid Foundation

I'm a little tired of being "pitched" constantly on new start-up companies, to tell the truth. I get pitched through email, facebook, twitter, IM, texting, phone messages, etc. Everyone is pitching being positioned first or in networking terms, groundfloor. Well, let me explain something (experience talking), being first means nothing if the company hasn't proven themselves in the market place, is underfunded, is built on hype & there's no documented success with the product or opportunity. Network Marketing is an amazing vehicle to get products & services to the marketplace via word-of-mouth strategies, but if it's not coming from a solid financial & business savy foundation ... IT WON'T LAST. Distributors sign up, invest tons of hard earned money for a FAST START kit ... or ONE TIME PURCHASE ... get on the phones with their family & friends all pumped up about getting rich ... get their first order (maybe their second) & suddenly there are problems. Checks bounce from the company, they are stuck with inventory they usually don't use & can't consume, the company folds & no one wins here. So the same "leaders" jump to the next deal of the day. It makes me a little upset. So, let's now turn the tables on Vemma ... one of the only SOLID companies out there. It's parent company is 15 years old, a billion dollars strong! And the product - Vemma (energized version Verve & Verve Shot) is documented, researched, double-blind clinical studied...fabulous! It is solid folks. Fall in love with the product & start enrolling people onto your team. It's that easy. Use the tools - downloads, brochures, CD's, website, conference calls, etc. - to help you. Stay pumped! It's awesome & isn't going away. You can change your life & lifestyle here. It takes effort (consistently) - but the outcome is success. Time to rock 'n roll!

Keeping Things Simple :=)

I sound like a broken record when I mentor new distributors in Network Marketing. I say over & over again - "keep it simple". And for good reason. If you COMPLICATE...you can't DUPLICATE. If at anytime with your presentation or explanation of the business your Prospect says (or thinks) "I can't do that." Then you will not succeed with the duplication process - which is the secret to making the big bucks in this biz! You must "do to duplicate." Don't make things sound hard. Starting with your simple ONE MINUTE MESSAGE ... you tell them in 60 seconds what you are doing - why they should do it - & that they don't have to change anything they are currently doing to "do it." And always make sure to state that you are having fun! With a hot product like Verve - highly consumable (daily use) - just get everyone hooked on the product ... putting them on autoship. When your new Member sees product success guess what? It's a natural step for them to share that success with others. I always go from the product perspective. I actually couldn't get involved in a business where I didn't adore the product! Simply say ... "I'm having fun in a new business that is really easy because it has the only healthy energy drink on the market. You should do it too! You don't have to change anything you are doing, just drink the drink & tell people how great you feel!" Then let them ask questions - hand them a sample - follow-up (see it thru!) The follow-up is about (again) keeping it simple by using the upline & company TOOLS. Let those TOOLS TALK! Tools that you can use ... 1) your www.myvemma.com/teamburgess (your name) website where they can watch that great BK Boreyko video clip, 2) our support site www.teamburgess.com where they can hear a quick overview message & watch a product formulation video clip, 3) a HOTLINE voice mail message (949) 266-0344 where you can call it 24/7 from your cell phone right on the spot with your Prospects, or call it when you are doing your follow-up by 3-way calling it, 4) weekly biz opportunity calls on Tuesday or Thursday, 5) simple HOME TASTINGS (see Listen & Learn at www.teamburgess.com). My usual SIMPLE process with a potential new Member is ... HOTLINE ... WEBSITE ... CONFERENCE CALL ... 3-WAY CALL. But whatever order you use these amazing TOOLS...just keep it simple so that it is duplicatable. Your team needs to do exactly what you do & keep it simple too. DO TO DUPLICATE should be your daily goals. Be consistent. Be persistent & keep it simple. Have fun!!!

On the Road Again

I love the internet. I can be anywhere in the world (literally, seeings that I'm writing this blog from Istanbul, Turkey), & can communicate, update, evaluate, motivate...whatever "ate' needs being done right from your computer. I was just checking the growth of the group & was excited to see so many of my fab teams developing with or without me. Great! That is one of the beauties (& benefits) of this great biz. Like many of you, I have a job job that requires me to be there to make money. It's something I adore - teaching private voice students how to sing. I do love it, but if I'm not around to do the actual teaching, I make zip money. They call that "trading time for money". If I didn't love the results from seeing the growth in my students, I wouldn't do it. However, I've always done MLM because you can do it in your pj's anywhere - at anytime - from the road or from the car. You fall in love with a product like Vemma & Verve. You take it - see the benefits - share your story & sponsor. And if you help your people sponsor & anchor in your team downline - you make unlimited amounts of money. It works. It has always worked. And having the right company - right product - right pay plan - right support ...you win! From the road - from the car - from your kitchen table you can build this business. It's simple. Easy? If you get the right people...yes. Just keep talking - no matter where you are. The product is sensational!!! I'll be home from Turkey on the 9th. Until then ... keep peeps plugged into www.teamburgess.com & my recorded message at (949) 266-0344. xoxo

Liquid Gold

It's no secret to my friends & family that I adore the Vemma core formula - no matter which form it takes on. The formula is outstanding & really works. When I started on the Vemma formula over a year ago, my ankles were constantly swollen from a diabetic challenge. I had a hard time walking or standing for any length of time, & I was having to wear obnoxious shoes to support the problem. All of my wonderful high end shoes were collecting dust in my closet because I couldn't wear them. I could put them on, but had to take them off due to the swelling. That problem was corrected within weeks of taking the original Vemma product. And I was sleeping all night for the first time ever! I love the formula. It works. Aches & pains from having six children were no longer causing me the grief I had been dealing with. So, no matter which form I drink the formula in ... plain or peanut, as they say ... it gives me the same results. I think Verve is genius! You get all of that fab formula still working its magic in your body PLUS energy factors! Healthy energy that is accomplishing two major things. It doesn't get better than that. For those not wanting the "fizz" of Verve - they can still gain the benefits with the Verve Shot. So, guys...get people hooked on the formula. It's as simple as that. They get hooked then they will tell others about it. From those satisfied autoship customers you will build a biz!!! Blitz it!!!

Start Up Momentum & Massive Action!!!

With 36 years of success in MLM under my belt, I've learned that in order for your biz to really take off & make you consistent money - big bucks - you have to shoot out the gate in massive action. That means you don't wait around, take your time, diddle daddle, piddle with products, etc. You start immediately talking to people, putting them on weekly calls, sampling them, signing them up on autoship & create immediate momentum. You are excited at the very beginning of your biz building. You have big dreams. You see yourself at the top with leadership. You are pumped! So, it's crucial to kick in big time. As they say..."ignorance on fire!" All you know is VEMMA - vitamins, essential minerals, mangosteen & aloe. And you know that you had great results with the product! And folks, that's all you need to know. Once you get a little knowledge, you bore people to death, take things too seriously & start lecturing, vs biz building! Don't let that happen to you. Plug in. Plug people in. Light fires everywhere. Hold short, exciting tastings & really rock 'n roll with the biz! Talk the biz everyday. And, if you are pokey & fall into that sleeper category...fire yourself & hire yourself again. Start new. Start fresh. HAVE FUN!!! This rocks!!!

Self Motivation

Are you self motivated, or are you in constant need of motivation to get yourself focused on building your Vemma business? To be successful at anything in this life, you have to be self motivated. From day one, write down your goals & write down (in detail) your reasons for succeeding at this business. This is called your "why." When you first enroll, you are pumped. You are excited about the possibilities! You have big dreams & just know you can succeed. However, a couple of months into the business building process, you lose sight of those original dreams. You may attend a convention & get all pumped up again. But does it last? Here's the secret to staying motivated...stay plugged in. Plug in with the weekly calls. There are upline calls every night of the week. Ruth Elliott's Wednesday Webinars are a fantastic motivator! And they are extremely informative. Plug in with these, & actually participate if possible. Enroll one new person a week. A new person changes your entire paradigm from negative & down...to up & excited! Read your goals. Rewrite your goals if you've achieved them & need bigger things to work towards. Listen to positive CD's & tapes. Call your upline to report your success. Anchor in positive energy by consistently doing daily income generating activity like sampling, prospecting, following up. Get out there with your Ipod & take an hour POWER WALK with great music playing in your ears. Look around you as you walk & recognize God's hand in all of nature's beauty! Look in the mirror & tell yourself how great things are. Surround yourself with positive people. Let go of your negative relationships. Have fun. Smile. Laugh. Love. You have what it takes to succeed, so never doubt yourself. If in doubt...plug in! Win!!!

Drive the Leg!

Your business has two legs. One leg usually takes off from the spillover of upline activity. If you've anchored both legs by sponsoring one on the left and one on the right, you drive the outside leg first (that's the one getting the spillover activity) until it's pretty much "cookin'!" You need one leg to be 3x's what the other leg is. Once you've blasted that one leg, then start building the other one. Every time you enroll someone into that left leg, you click in some cycles. Cycles mean money to you. $$$ I learned this the hard way because I'd never worked a binary plan before. I was equal volume on both legs & was losing big time money & positioning. Ruth Elliott looked at my backoffice & brought this to my attention. I'm passing that advise onto you. Look at your legs, anchor then drive one of the legs until it is far outperforming the other leg. Drive that leg by calling those you've enrolled & helping them enroll with 3-way calls, phone invites to meetings & conference calls. Drive it hard & then move to the other leg. If you drive a leg correctly (3 way calls, invites, teaming up with your key peeps) - your group will explode! If you just enroll - no driving of the leg - it won't. That's the bottom line. Drive!!!

Sharpen Your Skills!

Some of you know that I have been involved successfully with Network Marketing for over 36 years & you also know I love it! I love the freedom it has always given my life. I have raised six fabulous children, sent them to the best colleges (Duke, U of U, BYU, Gonzaga, etc.), and with their activities in sports (basketball) & music, I've never missed a game or event where my daughter was singing. I could have never done this if I had had to punch a time clock some where. Is this biz easy? No. Is it simple? Yes. You simply talk to people - enroll people - & support them. SAMPLE - SELL - SPONSOR - SUPPORT ... the three "S's". But you have to do this consistently. People that fail at Network Marketing don't hang in there long enough to see things happen. All the opportunity needs to provide is a solid foundation (MLM experience & money), a great product (consumable), a super pay plan & support. Honestly team, in 36+ years I've never had a company that offers so much support. Use that support & sharpen your skills. Sharpen your SAMPLING skills by sampling more people. Sharpen your ENROLLING skills by enrolling more people onto your team. Sharpen your PRESENTATION skills by doing home meetings, using the tools (new DVD is awesome!) Sharpen your skills by plugging in & listening to trainings - www.teamburgess.com - Tuesday & Thursday calls & Wednesday Ruth Elliott Webinars. Sharpen your skills by DOING what it takes to see success. You can either make excuses or make money - bottom line. So...as NIKE says..."just do it!" Congrats to Nancy Sustersic for quickly achieving STAR PLATINUM!!! You go girl!!!

Recognizing A Golden Opportunity

I have always described the perfect opportunity needing four components in tact to work. When one of the components is weak with the opportunity, the opportunity either dies, doesn't make it, or won't last. These four components are #1 Management, #2 Product, #3 Compensation and #4 Support. After 36 years of big time success with network marketing, I've learned first hand what works and what doesn't. Trust me. We never left a company - they left us and it always had something to do with a weakness in one of these four areas. Usually it was with the management. Management of an MLM company HAS to have experience in network marketing and keep the opportunity fresh and exciting with the latest technologies and tools to keep your business growing in the right direction. The product has to be hip and relevant for today. When liquid nutrients are the current buzz...you can't enter the market with a pill (that sort of thing). The compensation (pay plan) has to reward people at all levels. It can't pay those who go in early only. It has to pay grass roots people for sharing the product and give them the goal of achieving top levels in the pay plan. And the support from the company has to also be cutting edge and relevant to the competition that is tough in today's MLM arena. So, in looking at Vemma it's a slam dunk with these four components. Management is one of the only experienced in the industry. Product is off the charts fabulous - no competition or comparison. Pay plan is paying big checks and support is beyond belief. Maybe our team members don't recognize how strong this opportunity is. If not - then take a closer look. Tune into the monthly corporate update calls (first Tuesday), explore your backoffice (www.myvemma.com/yourname), drink your Vemma formula in all of it's forms - Vemma...Verve...Verve Shot & really take to heart how AMAZING and golden this opportunity is!!!

Green Grapes, Ruffle Potato Chips & Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Home meeting success is not only guaranteed with showing BK's new video (front of your myvemma.com website)...but, according to top leaders (and those who are duplicating this) is the serving of green grapes, Ruffle potato chips and chocolate chip cookies. Go figure! But why reinvent the wheel when this wheel is creating Royal Ambassadors! Just as up and smokin' leader from Bakersfield, California - Pete Yackley. I sponsored Pete over a year ago into Vemma. He came in like he should with that Ultimate $1000.00 package, fell in love with the product, but got side-tracked with "life" and running a number of Subway's here in Southern California. Then something happened. Maybe it was the 43 telephone messages I left him. Or, maybe he finally saw the opportunity for what it really is...the opportunity of a lifetime! Pete went to convention and came back on fire - even sent me a picture of him with Dr. Oz. After hearing about doing Home Meetings & serving green grapes, Ruffle potato chips & chocolate chip cookies, Pete said, "I can do that!" And...did he ever! Last week Pete brought in six new personally sponsored people & is on fire. His secret? The home meeting and the "I can do this" attitude. Way to go Pete! Keep serving those green grapes, Ruffle potato chips and chocolate chip cookies!!!

Home Meetings Make Things Happen!

I have loved hearing from all of our team who attended convention this past weekend in Las Vegas. They are on fire! And what pleases me most is that they all came back committed to doing home meetings. That was the main focus and message of the event. Get in front of the people you know in a casual home setting, sample the Verve - Vemma - or Verve Shot - let them watch a video clip and share your success of the product, and build your business by enrolling those who attend. This message isn't new. I've been doing home meetings for over 36 years. I'm a major banner waver for home meetings. The home meeting is where honest opportunity is offered. You take the products to the people. Share from your heart your love for the products and business. Let them taste the products. Get them involved on the spot. Make them feel welcome and part of your team. The home meeting is the heartbeat and backbone of business building. You build relationships. You make people feel important. You personalize your presentation to meet the needs of those who attend. It doesn't matter how they are dressed ... just that they came. The person who desperately needs your products and opportunity is most likely living in your neighborhood. Let this way of building your business be how you take massive action by consistently --- EVERY WEEK --- hold a home meeting. Listen to the training about Verve Tastings here at www.teamburgess.com under LISTEN & LEARN. Download the flyers, invitations, etc. Do it!!!

PRODUCT CRUSADER

I have found that different business models appeal to different types of people. The most powerful model in network marketing is one that is product passion driven. Someone tries a breakthrough product (like Vemma) & has excellent results (even miraculous) & can't help but tell everyone they know about it. Word of mouth (or person to person) marketing has always been the magic of network marketing. This passion keeps the independent distributor laser focused on achieving their goals. They plug into meetings & events ... hear more stories similar to theirs & then they become more fired up about what they are doing. Being bullet proof has to come from a passionate personal place. No matter what ... family negativity ... other "deals" that knock on the door ... don't phase the passionate product person, or what I call the Product Crusader. They carry the banner of health & opportunity with them all of the time. They see chances to share from their heart their personal success. The love of the product gets them up in the morning ... gets them talking to their neighbors & friends ... gives them renewed purpose to build an independent business. There are thousands of network marketing companies to choose from. But, only when the personal passion is ignited for the product, can someone really with integrity & honesty, build a solid business that they can be proud of. Why? Because they know what the product did for them. When network marketing business is built on just the making money factor, another deal comes along & there is no reason to stick around. However, when a Product Crusader is on fire...watch out. That's love & loyalty at it's best! PS ... I LOVE Vemma & Verve. Couldn't live without it. xo

FOCUS ON THE FORMULA!

Ruth Elliott (the #1 earner in Vemma) calls it "liquid discovery." I call it "liquid gold." What am I talking about? The formula of Vemma. V ... vitamins /// E ... essential /// M ... minerals /// M ... mangostene /// A ... aloe. This formula has changed lives over the past 4 years, so focus on the formula. Talk the formula. Sell the formula. Be proud & bullet proof because of this formula. It is incredible.
xo
